DC FanDome is coming back after the success of last year’s virtual event, and here’s when it starts, how to watch it, and what to expect from this year’s convention. First created by Warner Bros. and DC Comics as an alternative for fans to get news about some of DC’s projects, now it has grown into a global community of DC fans where new movie teasers, video games, and etc are released.
The convention will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, starting at 10 am PT/1 pm ET/6 pm BST. The event is scheduled to last approximately four hours, but in case you can’t catch your favorite panels (or any at all), “select portions” of the convention will be available on the DC FanDome website until October 31, while trailers and teasers will eventually be released on YouTube.
The FanDome event can be “attended” on different platforms (and for free), depending on everyone’s preferences and more. The event will be streamed on the official FanDome website as well as on DC Comics’ official Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
The full schedule for DC FanDome 2021 hasn’t been released yet, but a teaser was. The short video shows quick looks at a variety of movies, TV shows, and video games that will be a part of the event, including some of the most anticipated releases from the DCEU.

On the movie side of the convention, fans can expect panels from Aquaman and the Lost KingdomBatgirlThe BatmanBlack AdamThe FlashShazam! Fury of the Gods, and Blue Beetle, while fans of DC’s TV shows can expect panels from BatwomanDoom Patrol, DMZThe FlashHarley QuinnPeacemakerSupergirlSuperman & Lois, and Sweet Tooth. Among the guests and possible representatives of other panels are JJ Abrams (who’s set to produce a Superman reboot), Reggie Hudlin (producer of the upcoming movie Static Shock), and Lynda Carter and Patty Jenkins, most likely to celebrate Wonder Woman’s 80th birthday.
Even without a full schedule revealed yet, fans already know some of the biggest reveals and trailers that are on their way. The aforementioned teaser confirmed that a new trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman will be revealed, which is definitely one of the most anticipated moments from this year’s DC FanDome. Fans can also expect a sneak peek at The Flash (though most likely not a teaser, as it wrapped production in early October and is scheduled for a November 2022 release), a first look at Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, and some behind-the-scenes looks at Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
On the TV side of this universe, there will be new looks and updates at shows like PeacemakerThe FlashSuperman & LoisBatwomanDoom Patrol, and Sweet Tooth, though there has been more emphasis on Peacemaker. Other confirmed new reveals are those of Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Warner Bros. Games Montréal’s Gotham Knights, so there will definitely be exciting news for fans of all areas of the vast DC Comics universe.
Of course, it’s very possible that Warner Bros. has a couple of surprises prepared for DC FanDome 2021, whether teasers, cast reveals, first looks, or confirmation on rumored projects and more, so fans should definitely check out the event on October 16 – and plan accordingly, as there are so many panels that a couple will end up overlapping.
